Your brazen cruelty aside, heeeeeeeeee oh goodness this chapter. First Aid, I love you. That was such a crafty little way of unburdening even just a tiny bit of what he's going through, or getting a little bit of revenge, one of a dozen completely reasonable motivations to want to hurt Vortex. It might not be in him to take Vortex's life (at least, not while Vortex is defenseless and under Autobot care, so to speak?) but to shut him up? Especially in such a painful and effective way... hell yes.

...Come to think of it, I really love how Vortex isn't that broken up about it. o_o

Something I love about these chapters is, while there's a lot going on, there are so many delicious little details. I love that Perceptor is still hanging out in altmode. I want to give that big microscope a hug. I love that Bee thinks Prowl would shoot a prisoner in his cell. PFFT.

Also, yes, Vortex perving on Bee via scribbles is making me purr and laugh in turn.

:D Thankyou :D I'm really glad you like what's going on with First Aid and Vortex's reactions, and the detail bit (which makes me squee so damned much, because I write the kind of stuff that I'll personally want to re-read so I like putting in that kind of thing, and it's really cool that it appeals to people who aren't me too! :D Hmm, that was a rambly sentence, and I hope it made sense...)

Bee doesn't seem to have the greatest powers of observation in this... I wrote this after watching a lot of G1, which might explain that :P

And I don't even have words for Vortex any more. All I can say is that you write him magnificently (I'm pretty sure that's a good thing). How many Autobots has he traumatised now? I'm losing count.

Red Alert found a bug, hey? Would that bug's name be Brawl? I now have an image of Brawl sitting all hunched up behind a maintenance hatch somewhere in the Ark, plugged into Teletraan 1 and trying desperately to remember what he's meant to be doing. That's so adorable! :D

First Aid kicks aft! But at least First Aid shot him in a helpful way! (to the Ark crew, anyway) and made sure he was OK afterwards. Too much compassion, that'll come back to haunt him later.

I'm blaming watching a lot of G1 while writing this as the reason Bee doesn't always exercise joined up thinking.

Eeeeeeeee! Complicated Vortex is a mess of contradictions and I keep coming away from this story wanting to hug him and grope him and kill him and shoot him and sub for him and dom for him and talk with him and scold him and amuse him and ignore him and probably a few other things, all at once.

The way he conveyed the horn-groping to Bee was awesome. Creative Vortex is creative! If you shoot out his vocalizer he will flirt with/sexually harass you (I think they're pretty much the same thing with Vortex) via charades!

It seems so weird that it's over half done . . . and I'm sad for that. I *like* this universe and this storyline despite the creepy factor (am I wrong for wanting Blades to come in and return the favor? Vortex would probably enjoy it) . . . I'm so shipping Vortex/First Aid now.

What IS he doing?

And I'm really glad you like this AU :D (It's my favourite AU of all the stuff I've written, which is why there's so much of it) I've got about 23k of the next plot arc for this particular story written already (which is, unsurprisingly, mainly Vortex/First Aid), and a load more planned.

As for what he's doing, he's being a creepy manipulative bastard ;) *hopes it works*

Until the ETA, I would have said that you probably don't want to know. But given the ETA - maybe if you look at it sideways and squint a bit? (does angry enthusiastic participation count?)
