Summary: Claudius, from District 2, has never liked the dark. As a child his mother punished him by locking him in closets; after he escapes to the Career Centre it happens again, once as a hazing and once in training.

And Laverna! I love Laverna being motherly IN A GOOD WAY and then I think about her watching Claudius grow up and go in the Games and UGH being a trainer must be so much cognitive dissonance holy crap.
