[Tommy's all up in your business, looking at you a little oddly. Since, well, out of the house most of yesterday, he hasn't had a chance yet this weekend.]
Hey yourself, Tommy. I've been cursed with poetry. I can't talk normal.
[Teddy is sort of embarrassed. As curses go, it's not bad, but saying everything in haiku is distracting enough that he hasn't noticed anything weird about Tommy.]
You have to rhyme and I can't shut up. It's irritating too because normally I'm very quiet and careful what I tell people. My girlfriend--at least I think she's my girlfriend--loves poetry. French usually. I tried to write her a poem once--I did write her a poem once--her French husband was a poet--it was awful. It rhymed but it was awful so I've got sympathy for you.

It's complicated
but for uncommon reasons
and not the gay thing.
Well, maybe that too
but since my life is complex
then all the parts are.
It's hard to explain
especially in haiku,
is this making sense?
