The honest truth was, Toris didn't really know why he was outside at the moment. Maybe it was because the house was very quiet without Feliks playing loud music or playing with Za. Or maybe some part of him had become restless after so much time of staying inside. Winter could to that to people afterall. Whatever the reason was, he found himself wandering the streets, watching the snow fall on the already white atmosphere with an almost wistful gaze. It was cold, but strangely beautiful ( ... )

Eyelids at half-mast, Arthur just dazedly stared at the grey, overcast sky, comprehension of what had happened not fully setting in yet. Instead (and wasn’t it always the case?) pain was the first thing to come into awareness and set Arthur’s nerves alight.

Letting out a long string of muttered curses at the shooting pain in his back and what felt like the evolution of a headache into a full-blown migraine, Arthur writhed on the ground, not hearing the panicked voice that called out to him. Praying that he didn’t break anything or - heaven helped him - managed to paralyze himself, Arthur scrambled to push his torso up from the ground - only succeeding to fall down again when he couldn’t find the proper friction for his hands.

“Blimey,” he breathed numbly, before trying to focus on the brown blur that suddenly appeared above him.

Wincing when the other man tried to sit up, only to fall back down, Toris tried to snatch at his arm to help him up, but instead decided to wait until the other felt like he was ready to get off the ground. He apologized again, risking the very real possibility of sounding like a broken record, "I-I'm so sorry sir."

He really didn't look well, "Are you alright?" as soon as he asked, he wanted to kick himself, of course he wasn't. He'd just been knocked down in the cold street, looking like he was already sick. Which made the already incredibly guilty Toris even more panicked.

Strangely enough, this blond man on the ground looked oddly familiar to Toris, though he couldn't for the life of him figure out why.

And now the brown blur was talking to him. He really hoped that he wasn’t staring at a tree, as that would prove to be quite distressing for his state of mental well being. Granted, some already thought him to be mad when they caught him talking to what appeared to them as thin air (bloody non-believers), but mystical beings notwithstanding, Arthur had never chatted with shrubbery.

That was just preposterous.

Yet, either something had happened to his hearing or something (someone?) was talking to him. Well, considering he had taken a knock to the head, he supposed it wouldn’t be too foolish to ask them to speak up. “I’m sorry...what?” Arthur rasped, letting out a small cough when he spoke again.
