In the many years that Ivan has lived in America, he learned that for them, coffee always tasted better when its impossibly long title was too much to pronounce. He'd copied the order of the man standing before him, doubled it, and paid with the intent of bringing it to his poor friend who seemed to be suffering on account of his blog posts.

"Yaaaao~~" his voice permeated through the closed door of his classroom. The door was opened with much difficulty, cradling the two coffees and jostling the handle with his elbow. "I brought you coffee~"

At the sound of Ivan's voice, Yao's writing hand slipped quite clumsily on the board; an awkward line occupied the space where the word, "line" should have been. If it was any other time at any other place than right now in front of his students, he would've been okay with this. Even flattered that the Russian would buy coffee for him.

But right now? Definitely no.

"Oh, I-Ivan?" he turned to him, while ignoring the stares of the students; the twitch in his eye did not go unnoticed, "How kind of you to do so. Right here. Right now."

In all honesty Ivan, too, had not expected to stumble in on his friend with an audience present. His back straightened, his posture that of a deer in headlights' with widened eyes shifting between Yao and the students as if deciding which was the more dangerous of the two.

"Oh, a-haha, I did not realize that you were teaching right now. I thought that you would be on lunch break with the time it is..."
