Before he'd even got into the driveway, Antonio could see the signs of a pacing Italian through the windows of the mansion. It was a sight that immediately put a smile on his face, the way he pretended not to care.
Aside from that, Lovinito was wearing that one shirt he really liked. Probably not a coincidence. The grin got wider.
"I got ready and went to the pizzeria, but you weren't there," he quickly checked that he wasn't going to drop the bike on Lovi's car, "So I came back home, but it took me a little bit to get up the hill. I didn't keep you waiting too long, did I?"

Romano was also carefully watching the bike, ready to dive the moment it gave any hint of toppling. Dignity for the sake of not denting his Ferrari.
Once that was out of the way, his attention turned to the Spaniard awkwardly positioning himself between said bicycle and car. "You wouldn't have to if you'd just stayed at home. I told you I was leaving work early. And what were you going to do when I finished anyway, ride back home again?" He threw his hands high into the air and turned to head back inside, "Merda. Do you listen to anything I say?!"

"Haha...sorry sorry," satisfied that the bike wasn't going anywhere, Toni trotted to catch up and get inside before he got himself deeper into pseudo-trouble than he already was. "But thanks for getting off work early for me. I really appreciate it, Lovi!"
So far as he could tell, nobody else had been invited to his birthday...which meant the possibility for some romantic alone time was very high (and that was more than enough to put an extra bounce in his step). He'd try his best not to mess it up before things really got going.
You can drop it now ;w; Must see awesome Toni iconsitalian_honourFebruary 14 2011, 07:27:06 UTC
"I..." God dammit. Well he had taken work off for Antonio, but not for the reasons the Spaniard was hoping for. Romano decided to let it slide; it was Antonio's birthday and 'I don't want my employees to associate us together' would probably end in tears.
Tears were a pain in the ass.
"Hell if I know. I'm here, isn't that enough!?" Romano flinched. He'd meant it as a smart remark but, with Antonio, that probably was enough.
"A-Anyway, what do you want to do?" Another stupid question. "I brought you pizza...and cake..."
