Cursed Child Eve

Tomorrow I’m going to see Cursed Child! So excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’ve heard great things from my friends who’ve actually seen it. A lot of ‘meh’, ‘middling’, ‘disappointing’ kind of noises from those who’ve read the script, but theatre lives in performance and the reviews have been stellar so I’m expecting great things. I have very ( Read more... )

That was honestly magical. I was transported. And like... I mean I love the HP books but they'd not make the top 10 of my books of all time, whereas this would probably be my top theatre experience of all time and I see quite a bit of theatre. AMAZING.

You know, I'm not usually "oh, you're going to like this" just because I do, especially when I don't know people well enough, but in the case of The Cursed Child I don't mind saying "I told you so" to as many people as I can - because it was truly that magical. I think it's one of the biggest differences between paper and theatrical experiences I've ever had. Not that I don't like the script - and as a mother of two crazy boys I find it a tad more believable than most - but the play was so much more! :)

Oh, SO much more. I mean, the very bare description of the Tragic Staircase Dance of Albus & Scorpius Separation isn't going to kill anyone like seeing it fully realised does.

Oh, lucky you! Have great time and I hope you enjoy the play!

LET THE MIDDLE AGED POST-CURSED CHILD DRARRY BEGINSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She had the chance to choose someone else and she chose him, despite all the stains of his past, the sins of his father. And that's always what Draco wanted, to be chosen. And how could he ever repay that by walking away? So it ends with Harry heartbroken, poor kiddo, and Draco as always putting his family above everything else and having Astoria do the same for him. Anyway...)

Such heartbreak! I love angsty Drarry and this scenario is perfect, because it focuses on Draco's relationship with his family, which is my absolutely favorite thing about him.

I want to read the book and I want ALL the Drarry scenarios after it. Also: same about the next-gen! I don't care about them at all, I thought I was the only one, with the only exception of Scorpius Malfoy because he's a Malfoy and he's Draco's son. Yes, I'm partial like that.

As you've seen now, SO MUCH ENJOYMENT. I am very lucky indeed :D

See I DON'T love angsty Drarry but yeah, Draco's family relationships absolutely fascinate me. I am so so grateful and amazed that we got so much about his relationship with Astoria and that it was so beautiful.

I never gave a toss about the next generation but now I have very many feelings about Albus and especially Scorpius.
