[Siren's Pull] Headcanon / Memory
Sora's Memory Notes - (Mostly for Myself, castmates and the curious)
Due to timeline and memory complications, this next part will detail what this Sora does and does not remember. This is more for my own record, Sora's castmates.... so non-canon players don't have to read this unless they're interested.
Sora has read the reports which allows him the following information UNLESS a castmate (Roxas or Namine for example) would rather he either forget, not find the report or not figure out certain things about them just yet. Everything Sora does and does not remember is open for discussion and plotting, however. Also, Sora also doesn't necessarily have full understand of what is detailed in the report, so I'm perfectly willing to be loose on this. So hit me up any time!
Namine
1. Sora thinks Namine was the subject of the experiments, rather than the perpetrator
"The subject in these experiments, a girl named Naminé, appeared to possess extremely unusual abilities." -- Reports
2. Sora knows Namine has memory powers and that she's a nobody. However, she did SOMETHING but Sora isn't sure what.
"Naminé was a witch who controlled the memories of others." -- Reports
3. Sora does not remember the specific events of Castle Oblivion, and the first time he canonically remembers meeting her is at The World That Never Was when she opened a portal for the group. -- KH2
Kairi
1. Kairi is from Radiant Garden -- KH1 (Kairi's grandmother speaking to her.)
Riku
1. Riku retrieved Roxas, though the circumstances and whether both parties were willing are unknown.
2. Riku worked with Diz/Ansem the Wise.
"Thus I have asked Riku to bring me another Sora-his Nobody." -- Reports
Roxas
1. "I must convert Roxas into data and return him to Sora." -- Reports
2. "As a member of Organization XIII, it was exceedingly difficult to bring Roxas in. Having lost to Roxas once, Riku laid everything on the line and used the power of darkness in their second battle, only just managing to bring Roxas back with him." -- Reports
3. "First I shall convert all of Twilight Town into data and construct a “world duplicate” in Sora's memories. I shall place Roxas within that world to live out his days and regain those memories." -- Reports
Organization XIII / Castle Oblivion
1. Sora does not remember the events of Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. He will not remember Larxene, Marluxia or Vexen for instance, but will associate them with the organization by their coats.
BBS Trio
1. Sora does not remember Terra, Aqua or Ventus in any capacity beyond vague feelings of familiarity or connection.
"-- By the time of "KHI", have Sora, Riku and Kairi forgotten about Terra and Aqua?
Nomura: That's right. In "KHI" Kairi herself says that she's lost all her previous memories, that she "doesn't remember anything before coming to the Destiny Islands", and it would be pretty easy for Sora to forget. After all, I think for a child of 4 or 5 years old to remember a person they met only once and exchanged just a few words with would be quite unnatural. Only Riku, who was told by Terra "Don't tell anything of today to anyone," may simply be keeping quiet." -- Interview
Headcanon
1. Kairi sees Xion as KH2 Kairi.
Reasoning: Xion was created from Sora's most powerful memory, which was Kairi. Up until he actually meets her, Sora envisions Kairi as her KH1 self. Since meeting her at the World That Never Was, his memory was in a sense 'updated' to what she currently looks like. Hence, when he meets Xion, he doesn't just see her as KH1 Kairi with black hair, but as KH2 Kairi ... Plus it's kinda neat to play out for the muns.
