A Moment of Silence, Please.

I would like to take a moment to recognize someone for their contributions to LochJournal. This person has singlehandedly demonstrated the reasons that I work on LochJournal in my almost non-existant free time, striving to bring my loyal users a product that they can rely on and use for all of their journaling needs.

foxmajik, I would like to thank you ( Read more... )

I love LochJournal. Mainly because to my knowledge, it's the only LJ client that lets me stay logged into two different sites simultaneously. My only real "wish" for the upcoming release is that it supports the Media Player skin for autodetecting the current music. Well, that and to fix the previously-mentioned bug with downloading your journal history. But even with my "wish list" currently unanswered, I'm quite happy with your client.

I'd offer to help with the artwork, but I couldn't draw a stick figure to save my life. :P

I would help you would with the graphics department, but, like you, I've been having too much work to do, including travelling, job hunting, and programming my own version of Linux.

As for the "furries" comment... Well, I'll just say this: That is a bad representation of what we Furries are. We're much better than THAT... trust me, being one myself.

I use LochJournal just because it is a great program that doesn't require much RAM or Hard Drive space. My favorite feature was, of course, the History feature.

I was there when the History feature was broken, and I'm patiently waiting for the LochJournal 2.0 release, just for all of the improvements that are going to be implemented.

And considering this comment was written at 3:00AM CST, it may sound a bit incoherent.

I like LochJournal a lot, it's THE best Livejournal software I've used thusfar. I don't mean to degrade the quality of the product. I was commenting on the author's attempt to offload responsibility. I'm sorely disapointed by the frequencey withwhich LochJournal crashes. If that problem was fixed, it would be award-winning software, in my opinion.

yay!! the history feature!! yeah, from what I remember of it... which... well, I dont usually remember my name, anyway, what I remember was it was great, especially the feature that seemed to work for a while... then... died... and of course {sigh}, it is not really the programmers fault, seeing as how his program has to work with the ever-wonderful-changing server people.

if I ever find out when 2.0 comes out, I would be happy to check it out... I have some history backing up type stuff to do, and nothing seems to be able to do it for me...

and this comment was written 06:45AM CST so I dont wanna hear any time lip from you, bub

:D

hehehe

foxmajik sounds like a loser. I haven't been a member of Livejournal long but I've been using Lochjournal since it came out. Do you know how easy it is for me to update all my journals at the same time???? Kudos to the man who made Lochjournal! I wouldn't have it any other way.

Hi, I apologize for posting this here, but it seems that your FAQ, Discussion, and Support pages are currently down.
I downloaded your software today, and when I was trying to switch from one user to another I got this error
"Access Violatoin at address 004AD7FB in Module "LochJ.exe" Read of address 0000008"
I cant get the error to go away.. PLEASE help, thanks. I apologize again for posting this in the wrong place.

This is the problem I was commenting on. It doesn't just happen once, the error pops up over and over again until the system runs out of resources and hangs. The only way to prevent this hang is to click really fast on the "OK" button while trying to close the program between clicks (or use task manager to kill the process).

This software wasn't made by a 'furry,' per se.

Yeah it was. Check me out on ChaoticMUX. I'm definitely a furry. Well, half and half, I guess. But I identify with the group, hence my surprise at your comments... I have a very high opinion of furries as a whole. See other comment by me elsewhere in this post.

I suppose given this knowledge I feel inclined to apologize, and so I do. I'm sorry for making such an agressive comment.
