LochJournal 1.1 Released!

Oct 27, 2002 14:06

Version 1.1 is out. It's mostly a bugfix release, but it has quite a few fixes that may be worth downloading it for. It should work with DeadJournal and other services again--sorry for the problems it's been having. Hopefully (I stress hopefully) there shouldn't be any problems with that line of thought for a while to come. I hope. But of ( Read more... )

It could just be me, but I've tried downloading it several times, and the file I'm getting is corrupt.

Bug, or feature? ryokomusouka October 27 2002, 12:40:13 UTC
First a big ol' pat on the back - this is a great client!

The problem I have is, when I want to Edit Last, it has to redownload my entire history - every time. Considering how long I've had my main journal, that takes quite a while. Is there any way to save the history to my hard drive, instead of in temporary memory? Is there an .ini setting i need to change, like I did with my profiles, to make both show up?

Site down? daryl November 1 2002, 23:59:41 UTC
I've tried all the mirrors to download, but Explorer always says, "IE cannot open this Internet site." Or could there be something wrong on my end? -_-;;

Works fine for me.. are you sure you're clicking the little "download" icon on the right side when you go to the download link? Next to the part that says 877kb on the right is a little file icon, click that.

yeah, only all the little file icons aren't showing up. there's an X in their place, and when i click on them it takes me to a 'this page cannot be displayed' page. (i use getright [http://www.getright.com] and after it downloads the .exe file, it says "this file appears to be a web page (possibly an error message)" and asks me if i want to process or view the web page. that's what happens when i choose view.) is there another server you could host it on or something? i dunno..

Don't use GetRight or Go!Zilla or anything like that. If you do, the page download won't work right. I can't host it anywhere else, since, well, I don't have hundreds of megabytes of transfer sitting around that I could just use.. sorry.

Just Wanted To Tell You... ainabarad January 10 2003, 10:08:43 UTC
I was not being picky when I tried clients, I just went down the list and tried the ones that sounded cool. The new Visions client has a bug in it so it will not work properly (it won't even login) and the new Semagic client has a bug in the spellcheck (it'll tell you that you have misspelled words, but won't tell you which ones or anything), so I decided to give LochJournal a try and I must congradulate you on this wonderful client that works properly! *gives ya a big 'ol pat on the back* IT WORKS GREAT!!! I LOVE IT!!! I especially love how the spellchecker works wonderfully and I adore the birthday notices!!! You have a beautiful program here!!! Thank you soooo much for creating it, designing it, and offering it to LJ users like me so there is a client we can use that works properly!!! *HUGS*
