First of all, I wish I could apologize for how some of my fellow peers are acting. It is unbelievable that an entire community is willing to dogpile and bully someone, even when they bring up the suggestion of how to fix things.

I will say that both sides are definitely at fault here, but I think the biggest issue of this situation is not LJlogin/LJJuggler (as well as not being able to tag frequently), but the privacy issue that should be resolved first. I do think that this should be solved before the login issue is, especially because it deals with breeching other people's privacy on an internet forum. Information that the use does not want to have leaked out is a thousand time more important than "Oh, now I have to manually login to tagThe dogpiling and bullying from plenty of people in this post is embarrassing, I don't think many of you realize how this reflects on our community. Being angry is one thing, but going so far as to attack someone, even when they give a simple suggestion? I am paying for this site too, but if you are ( ... )

How on earth is the userbase at fault for something LJ did?

I really don't see this as the Rp community being mean (especially if, say, you've ever been to Rp secrets or in the community for a long time), this is "Lj userbase being omgmean", which is really normal for the userbase. This isn't even close to half the bile a unpopular news post can be or... really any of their past major mistakes. I'm not quite yet up to the point like that one time I planned to take a trip down to their offices and read the more well-written comments through a bullhorn at them, because they sure as hell weren't listening the normal way (sadly only cut short because I couldn't find a bullhorn, have the time to take the bus there, or a printer so I could take the pages of comments with me ( ... )

If... you really think the userbase, what LJ would be dead without, is making the RP community look bad by voicing these things, then what say you about places like anon comm? This isn't nearly considered 'dogpiling and bullying' compared to the things that happen there.

I'm not saying everyone is saying their piece wonderfully, but this isn't even close to what might make the RP community of LiveJournal look bad.

I think you really need to get you facts straight before you say something so completely and utterly stupid, for lack of a better word. Yes, it is annoying for RPers to have to manually login to each character they play, but it's not like that's even the main problem. LJ juggler is in working order from what I've heard, so that's not a problem. What is a problem is when users who are just sucking it up and logging in manually have to do it after every comment. If people can't even stay logged into their account for more than that, you bet your ass people are going to get mad. Now, not only can people not log in as easily as they could before, people can hardly log in at all - manually or otherwise ( ... )

I am late to this, but I agree with this answer here.
