I, unfortunately, am pre-paid until July 2008...

However, I will be from now on double posting in LJ and GJ with an eye towards dumping LJ when my pre-paid time is up. I figure by then I'll have transfered all the contents here to GJ or some other blogging site.

Yes, I'm that furious.

People over there are talking to Support to find out what their stance on this is. There's brief discussion about it in the fandomtossed community.

I'm just prettying up my GJ.

I'm prepaid for the next 14 months, so I at least have time to decide what to do.

It's good that people are asking questions right up front.

Yeah, I did mine last night. I'm debating tracking down the owner of huff_fics and seeing about making a mirror community on GJ.

One of my friends just paid for the next year a few days ago. She's REALLY unhappy about that. Mine runs out in August, I think.

Hopefully they'll be nice to us. I know they've had advertisements for longer than LJ has, and no paid accounts, but a huge chunk of their userbase is roleplaying journals.

Don't even try. I've seen sites exceed their bandwidth within half an hour of making the front page and you're up to 250 diggs. It could get really bad. Really bad.

Well, right now there's some talks going on with GJ regarding the sitch.

As far as I'm concerned, it's good for a backup.
