Australian GED equivalent?

So, I'm Australian myself, but I have absolutely no idea about this. I've googled 'australian ged equivalent' and related searches, and I've looked through this comm, but my search's been fruitless thus far ( Read more... )

In Australia, you can't go and take exams to get the equivalent - you go back to high school or do the same subjects at TAFE to get your Year 12. In South Australia it's a SACE - but if you want, you can get most of the score for that from VET (vocational) subjects, including apprenticeships with subjects through TAFE.

South Australian here, and I did this. It's called Year 13, and is basically matric (SASE). It's changed a bit since I did Year 13, (and I did it at a TAFE, before the advent of Open Learning). Now, there's also the SAM (South Australian Matriculation) http://www.sace.sa.edu.au/web/sam/about-the-sam and you should be able to find out more about matric (year 12) and other final year schooling programs here at the SASE site: http://www.sace.sa.edu.au/home
