I hear the voice of rage and ruin.

Yesterday was a wreck of a day.

There was a huge drama-blow-up amongst the grade 8 students. The grade 9s could not focus to save their lives. The grade 12s would continuously talk back or whisper behind my back. This is not normal behavior from them. At all. I though maybe I'd gone and done something wrong, because it was just so ubiquitous.

[I have a small obsession with this scene in "X-Men: The End"...and their kids kind of forced their way in here. I APOLOGIZE FOR NOTHING.]

"Kiss me, Remy."
"Please don't go, Anna, please don't go, please, please, please --"
"A real kiss, damn you. One...last...time..."

Her body is limp in his arms, and the sort of tears he'd never thought he'd ever have to shed are still falling. They're X-Men, dammit. They write their own endings -- it's the rule, it's always been the rule -- and this was not supposed to be theirs. He and Anna were supposed to raise Bekka and Olivier in Valle Soleada. They were supposed to finish the vaguely white picket fence existence they'd started. They were supposed to watch their kids grow up. The two of them were supposed to end up with grandchildren to spoil rotten. They were supposed to grow old together and live happily fucking ever goddamn after ( ... )

Like as not I'll be along soon. *sobs* Oh, God, my HEART. *sniffles and wibbles*

I feel a bit sorry for any bullies that mess with Bekka and Olivier in future, though. Actually, I feel a LOT sorry for those theoretical bullies.

But OW MY HEART AND LEAKING EYES.

Mission. Frigging. Accomplished.

Oh dear GOD yes. Mystique will be the most frightening momma bear ever. Anyone who so much raises a hand to the kids is going to end up dead. Can you imagine parent-teacher interviews with her? :)

If anything though, bullies should fear them. If you go by the GeNEXT canon (the 'official' followup to to "X-Men: The End", both kids pick up on their mother's powers. While Bekka goes off on her own, Olivier stays at the mansion and is trained alongside his friends by X-23. I'd be scared of them too.

OH MY GOD I AM SO GLAD YOU HURT. Mainly because, as always, it means I'm doing something right.

Crazy children are crazy sometimes. Probably it was no more than "Hey, Friday!" And with a school that small, drama between just a couple of girls (it was girls in the 8s, wasn't it? I'm just guessing based on twenty-two years in the profession) in one grade will infect EVERYONE. Like a fast-breeding aerial vector Z-virus of DOOOOOOOOM.

Also, what you call safety meeting? My co-workers and I call it German Inservice. :)

I think it was just a weird, weird day. Drama absolutely everywhere, a fundraiser occurring at the same time, and Friday on top of that...yeah. Just a screwed up, messed up, ruined day.

Though yes. I like the idea of it being something like a virus. It starts with the grade 8s and just moves on up, infecting absolutely everyone, mainly because everybody knows everybody's business due to the size of the school. Here's hoping the infection clears up over the weekend. :)

Don't you just love safety meetings and German Inservices? They're kind of fantastic.

Sometimes, they're all that gets a teacher through the week! (I missed mine yesterday because a vindictive parent wanted to waste the time of fifteen professionals all at once, though. For ninety minutes. On a Friday afternoon. Bleah.)

Amen.

Seriously though. Seriously? An hour and a half. Fifteen professionals. Friday.

FUT THE WUCK.

Hm... Thinking of promptables.

Okay.

How about something really off-kilter that's been passing in and out of the scribbler's brain a lot:

Rogue chose her gift.

You can go anywhere with that.

Alright. I'll go somewhere with it, but I need to take it out back for some questioning.

So hey, y'know in my last ficlet o'clock there were Acadiens & Therese Lebeau instead of Jean-Luc Lebeau & slowly trying to get the feral devil child to come to camp? What happened after, huh? huh, huh, HUH?!?!?!

[HATE YOU SO MUCH BUT IN SUCH A GOOD WAY.]

If you are to know the Acadians, you must know two things:
They may bend, but they never bow.
They are born with songs in their very veins.
The first is the reason they were forced from their homeland, and the second is what kept them alive as they fled. Oh, you may hear a good deal else about their survival -- lord knows there are tales aplenty of ships and journeys and scraping by -- but it will always come back to the blood. You can't escape it. Not the kind in your body, and certainly not the kind in strange red eyes of little boys found in the woods.

"So this is the child everyone is whispering about," came a voice. More accurately, came heavy footfalls and then a voice. The combination was distinctive, belonging to one Emil Lapin ( ... )

Hey I made a new Black Donnellys Fan Community. The other one wasn't active so I thought we should have a newer more active one. Thus, The Firecracker Lounge was created.

http://tbdfirecracker.livejournal.com/

I would love for you to join and post up your drabbles and fanmix. They were great and I would love for others to see them.

I will be posting all my Black Donnellys related stuff there soon.

If you know any other Black Donnellys fans please share this with them.
