Shelley tattoo...help needed

Hi, I've only recently discovered this community...you guys all really have the most awsome tattoos (and ideas)!

I'm planning on getting my first tattoo in April, but I still haven't been able to decide on a quote (although I've been thinking about quotes I like for about a year now ^^ ). I want to get a quote by Shelley, preferably from my ( Read more... )

Since you mentioned having it on the inside of your arm, I've decided to show you mine: http://photos-c.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-snc1/v369/76/9/692066474/n692066474_1455850_9952.jpg
I really think that spot is best for any kind of quote that you want to be able to show when you want to, and cover when you need to. I really like the idea you had about taking equal out of the tattoo, because you're right, it wouldn't fit.
As for fonts, the best I can give for advice is to browse dafont.com, which I'm sure you've already found years ago because its very popular, but has a great selection.
I definitely want to see a picture of it when you find out what you want and get it!

Wow, your tattoo is awsome! I love the simplicity of the font and the feathers around it....
I've been having a look at dafont.com for a while now, maybe I'll post again later when I've decided on a couple of fonts I like. :)

This is so rich with possibilities! Even though it spans a line break, I really like "the king over himself." Or have you considered just getting the title?

A friend of mine has a tattoo on the inside of his wrist that says "Corpus Christi." It's the name of a play in which he played the main character, but it also stands up as a concept on its own. "Prometheus Unbound" could have so much meaning on its own.

hey that's actually a great idea...getting the title itself...now I have to think about that as well ;) thanks!

I like your "Unclassed, Tribeless, Nationless" idea. Give it a rough font-- something intense and wild.

I don't know anything about tattoos and only look at this community out of curiosity every now and then, but I approve of your choice. SHELLEY. <3

I think "unclassed, tribeless, and nationless" would look good. Three words is probably easier to fit in than four, and although I can't suggest a good font, I agree that there's something odd about using a typewriter font for a Romantic poet. Although it might work.
