I was thinking about getting a tattoo behind my ear next summer, and I was wondering about the pain levels? Was it bad?

And I really love both of yours, by the way... :D

These are my only tattoos, so I don't really have anything to which I can compare them, but it really didn't hurt much at all! The best way I can describe the pain is to compare it to being pinched over and over by a toddler with sharp fingernails; I could tell that there was a needle going into my skin, but I didn't really mind! Plus, I think that my adrenaline really helped me out; I was pretty nervous beforehand, but the pain itself was nothing like I imagined it would be! I'd say go for your behind-the-ear tattoo!!

i have a rather large tattoo behind my ear of a biohazard symbol.
the pain level is very low compared to other places surprisingly.

however the rattling and very loud buzz of the gun reverberates throughout your skull and that isn't very pleasant.

behind the ear tattoos are indeed becoming quite the fad.

Dooo it, dooo it! Unlike a lot of potential tattoo designs, I figure that it's pretty hard to fall out of love (if you will) with the semicolon.

And thanks for the compliments! (: I also have my right rook pierced, but unfortunately it isn't visible in the picture. Damn Mac Photobooth! I like adding to my ears as their visibility changes with the way I style my hair, haha

i want & on my wrist. i've wanted tattoos behind my ears, but unless my hair is down, they're visible.

Dooo it! I figure that mine are subtle/inoffensive enough that even if I wear my hair up, no one should mind or even notice.

plus, they are usually small so you could probably dab some concealer and blend in with a foundation to cover them up.
