Is this the penultimate chapter?

So Samas stays with Gibbs even into the current season? As I've said before I keep seeing scenes where it makes sense that Samas is in Gibbs. Will the government stick to what G/S and O'Neill worked out? What if the NID or the IOA find out what is going on.

More when you can.

Not penultimate, but getting close. And we will have to see where this goes. Sadly, I do not think that the government is going to be okay with Samas running around DC, even without knowing she's a queen.

I do like how Tony stands up again everyone. And how he really do has Gibbs six! Yepp wonderful fic. And the dialogs are exciting and funny and .... *sigh* great author you!

We are definitely on opposite sides of the world because I had a sleep in the middle there, but I am thrilled that the timing worked out for you.

And Tony will always stand up for Gibbs, no matter what.

Lovely story. I'm glad Tony's onac will have some of his own offspring to protect as well as the other younglings. Samas offspring from the last two days could number in the high hundreds. She is a large and mature queen and she is basically producing little guppy babies. Will SGC be up to dealing with both Samas and Gibbs? The biologists are going to be furious if they have to give up their fish pond/tank facilities to Samas. With the best will in the world it would take awhile to build more aquatic facilities and them more time to get it properly set up. Oh well Daniel can try to sooth them with more estoric knowledge. The adaptable will set up a series of cameras and study Samas, his habits and weight and digestion.

Tony deserved to have his thoughts and personality saved in this form. And yes, Samas was in the water before Tony was implanted, giving birth to babies from DNA she had already collected. After the others got de-onac'ed, she went in to give birth to more. I think in that time she could have put out a whole lot. After all, onac die in great numbers, so that means they can breed in great numbers. And Hathor certainly proved that.

I do love your O'Neill. He may have very decided opinions about all snakes but he understands a tactical advantage when he hears one. I think he also trusts the enlightened self interest motive far more than the altruistic pretenses he's heard before.

As always, Tony's total commitment to Gibbs rings very true. Between Samas and Tony I don't think Gibbs stands much of a chance. :)

O'Neill is a realist, and realistically, every snake who has ever offered to help has turned on them in some way. Selmac has been the only exception to that rule. The tok'ra have withheld information, Hathor outright lied, and the goa'uld want to murder them all. O'Neill has some reason to be suspicious.

Call my mind a little late to the party,,, but I just realized that Gibbs' "gut feelings" have a name, Samas! and I really like the last three lines too

I think Samas is a big part of his gut feeling. I'm glad you're enjoying this.
