I was going to officially announce it but many of you beat me to it LOL. So, as you have probably gathered/seen by now, fishingvegas has asked me to co-mod house_cuddy. It was one of the most amazing things I have ever been asked. I feel so honored, blessed, and hopeful. Im so glad reading this. I actually added house_cuddy back to my flist. It just got so bad a bit ago and I couldnt take it anymore. I cant wait to see what you guys do to the community. I know you all will make it brilliant again!

I'm not in House fandom, but as a person who did the mod takeover-community revamp thing, I'd have some general thoughts on it, if you'd like to hear them?

As you already know, I am INCREDIBLY excited for this! I cannot wait to see the awesome you three bring back to the fandom, seriously. ♥

One idea I have... Some really big communities I'm on have one post a week where people can post links to their graphics and fanfics or whatever. There are A LOT of posts for graphics and fanfics and stuff, and a lot of is mediocre (lol) and clogs up flists, so maybe we could have like, a weekly fanfic post and a weekly graphic post and a weekly video post or something? That way everything is all in one place instead of all over the page.

First, I think hihoplastic should be publicly thanked for all the hard work she put into house-cuddy. It must have been hell holding together this comm pretty much all by herself during the crazy, crazy craziness of S5, and I think for all its pitfalls, she did do her best. That being said, I'm ecstatic that now the comm has fallen into the hands of people who are really able to put their all into it.

I think we need to work harder to differentiate between what belongs in house-cuddy and what belongs in house-cuddy-ot. Sometimes the stuff that ends up in the main comm that shouldn't be there causes the most trouble.

We really need to make sure that house-cuddy remains House/Cuddy and NOT anti-House/anybody else. This is happening a lot in the other shipping comms for the mere fact that House/Cuddy has been front and center lately. I think the best way to fight this is not to bite back. For all intents and purposes, this LJ comm is the public face of fans of House/Cuddy. While we do advocate for House/Cuddy fans, I like to think that we also advocate for the show as a whole. Ooh! Thought: maybe we could work toward more fandom unity if we co-sponsored a challenge or something with house-cameron, house-wilson, and maybe even chase-cameron. After all, standing in our corners throwing rotten fruit at each other hasn't done us any good.
