I also experience a very high amount of anticipatory anxiety, even for things I end up enjoying. And I am also bad at bottling the excitement I know I will receive from certain activities to make it manifest when the anxiety and avoidance feelings come up.

For what it's worth, I think if you are genuinely achieving a balance between your "chill" and your "active" selves, that sounds healthy to me. It's when one takes too far over that it becomes a problem.
