It was a good vacation, but I'm ready to get back to the daily grind. I seem to be more productive when I have to go to work each day.

My inbox notifys have been fine, and the e-mail ones seem to be improving. I know there were a few e-mails that I simply did not get, though.
Thanks also for the well wishes at work. I've applied for a fairly big promotion, and the hiring process promises to be long and somewhat nerve-wracking. I don't even use email notifications that often (I mean, I get them, but I operate on lj inbox), but I've seen people on my flist complaining about emails.
I hope at least fandom can distract you and help with the nerve-wrecking real life stuff :(. I'm sure things will turn out just fine!

And I love the basket on your bike :D

ITA that it's brutal returning to work ... yet another experience we have in common.
That's the bike I ride when I'm at Dad's (it used to be Mom's). The basket is handy and matches the cork handle grips and the leather seat. :) It's a very comfy bike to ride.
