My primary Yuletide fandom was Warren Ellis and Paul Duffield's wonderful online comic FreakAngels which I highly recommend to anyone who likes questions of morality and power, detailed post-apocalyptic rebuilding, and a little touch of steampunk. And you can read it for free

Yuletide is such a damn crapshoot. It's really too bad that your fic didn't get attention commensurate with the work you put in. Sorry.

I had a slightly different situation this year -- two other people wrote fic in the same rare fandom I did. I was proud of my story, but both of the others were sort of brilliant. So I can't really complain.

I'm glad your fandom has three fics (and I bet the other two writers were thinking the same thing - "OMG the other two are brilliant!") It wasn't so much not getting comments that was weird, more that over 40 people volunteered to write in, and the two fics together got about 8 comments, with some overlap. It didn't seem very...squee-y. There's a horrible word for you!

Yay! I'm so glad you liked it! I've been pleased to find in recent weeks, Warren has been going in the direction that I guessed in this fic, especially with Kait. But there's still no Bangladeshis! Firoza is visually based on the woman in the red underwear in the lower panel.
