I, okay, wow, I don't even know what to say. This was just immense, and it puts a whole new spin on the entire series, one that is actually believable, and just. Seriously, this is going to be in my bookmarks until my computer breaks down. I can't get over how bittersweet the ending is because we all know what happens once Effy gets back.

Sometimes endings tend to pack more of a punch left vague, I find - I love it when I can fill in the rest of the gaps. Oh, and you're welcome. :D I could probably wax lyrical about this story to be quite honest; your style of writing is like this great big hook. Cook looks so lovely in your icon /makes mental note to fill up remaining userpic space with his face.

OH MY GOD This is just-- tremendous. It's so rare to find a story that's both hot and emotionally impactful, but you've managed that wonderfully here. God, just everything about this-- Freddie not being ready to say it yet, Cook and Effy's shared emotional retardation, the explanation for the chlamydia, Effy running of with Tony(!!), the way IT HURTS COOK TO KISS FREDDIE, even the way they fuck. GAH I love it all.

I really love CFE as a triad but I can't see it ending well. You've really hit the nail on the head for how I perceive their relationships with one another.
