Roy still wasn't certain exactly what the whole Halloween thing was about, but the troopers at least had been able to tell him that he should have candy around. So he had a whole bowl of gummi bears on the dinner table as he lounged on the couch as he waited, reading an actual fictional book that Ralph assured him fitted tonight's team perfectly.

Fraser wasn't coming for candy but he did have a costume. And he thought himself clever.

And since he thought himself clever, he decided to visit his "employee."

Roy opened the door and paused as it really wasn't anyone he expected to knock on his door. Ever. Unless something was seriously wrong... and even then.

"How can I help you, Deadpool?"

"At least I know my costume works," Fraser said, not bothering to disguise his voice. "Honestly, Sheriff, do you know how Professor Wilson lives in this thing everyday?"

"Constable Fraser?" Now that he looked closer at the costume, he did realise that he wasn't quite build as Deadpool. "I personally don't think I want to know. Are you trick or treating too?"

"In a sense," Fraser said, yanking the mask off because that thing was hot. "I'm out in more of a please students, don't hurt each other or destroy things capacity and thought I'd stop by. How has it been this evening?"

"Well I did think you'd be my first trick or treat visitor for the evening," he said, stepping back to grab the bowl of gummi bears. "Now I'm going to have to just offer you candy so I can practise for when it happens for real."

"There is no possible way to say no to sweets," Fraser said and held out his hand since he had no bag. "Thank you kindly, Sheriff."

"You're more than welcome to drop by again if you need a refill," Roy said, sounding amused. He handed Fraser some of the gummis. "Or if you need any help sorting the students out."

"Of course," he said, popping a few of the gummis into his mouth. "I'm hoping we avoid anything major this Halloween save for this apparent Pumpkin thing."

Roy frowned a little at that. "I don't suppose there's really any event in Fandom that can pass without any weirdness?"

"I think you and I have both been here too long to expect that," Fraser said, smiling good naturedly. "A friend of mine says it's only causing some minor discomfort, the growth of the gourds so that's somewhat comforting."

"That's something. Sadly enough we haven't really been able to come up with anything," he replied, sometimes hating how much this island could manage to baffle him.

"And I did some minor research and couldn't find a thing," Fraser admitted, shrugging. "I really hate thinking that we'll have to wait for this thing to make a mistake before we get an advantage."

"It might not have to get that far," Roy replied. "I'll join the troopers this evening to see if we can get a more organised search going."

"If you've need of assistance, let me know," Fraser said with a nod. "I'll be out until the trick or treating finishes and then home for the remainder of the night."

"I will," Roy assured him. "Searches like this would be a lot easier if we had more troopers. How are things at the school?"
