There was a brunch: we tried Dexters for a change where a chum of KatnDan's is a chef. It was rather scrummy, and the highlight was the ramekins of beans so that it was our choice whether to get bean juice over everything. Yay ( Read more... )

Monday was the actual day of the anniversary, and even though we'd already celebrated at the w/end, Mr 'Bert came home with armfuls of roses. I retaliated with armfuls of Jaffa Cakes. Take that! Ha!

Last night, we went to see One Man Star Wars at The Lowry. We were beset by Star Wars characters in the bar before the show, and there was also a warm-up comedian who was very good but whose name I didn't catch. Last night, we went to see Simon Amstell doing stand-up at The Lowry. As an added bonus, he was supported by Arnab Chanda, who I hadn't heard of previously, but who was raaather funny. I shall be keeping my eye on that young man**, yes I shall.
