Beautifully written, and utterly creepy. Somehow, I don't think Danny's gonna live long enough to find out who "we" are, exactely...

Thank you so much, I was really hoping it would be a little bit creepy. Danny's chances of survival are almost certainly not good, but I like to leave things right on the edge. So no one really knows for sure!

It's been a fun week, what with all the apocolyptothon fic that's been posted, but this is at least as good as anything published there.

I'd hate to be in Danny's shoes... *veg*

Danny is certainly not in a good place right now....

Aha! I remember it now, the alien lifeform in the X-Files was a black oil! And it did that thing with the black eyes. I used to get a lovely shiver up my spine whenever Krychek's eyes blacked over... *veg*

Now I understand why I got this atavistic thrill when Becker turned around with those eyes and something else's voice...

Yes, there is a strong X-Files flavour to it now I come to read it back. I thought the black oil monster thing had come from somewhere. Blue yes, there was definitely something about Krycek and his black eyes!

I secretly think black-oil-monster Becker would be kind of hot *shifty look*

Scary... I hate how my brother just made me watch the "District 9" trailer last night so all I can think about is alien invasion. *twitch* Run Danny run! Or at least, stand and fight! This is really tragic yet painfully captivating! I like it! Great job here! The imagery is chilling to the bone and the constant wonder of what thing did this was brilliantly executed! Great work!

I watched the District 9 trailer the other day! I found it strange and creepy and kind of awesome :D

Haha couldn't have described that trailer better myself! Typically I avoid apocalyptic stories because they're a bit much for me, but I took a chance on yours and I'm really glad that I did! You completely suceeded in the creepiness of it as well as the suspenseful cliffhanger at the end. Indeed, poor Danny! I feel bad for everyone else who was killed in the ARC too, especially Connor! Poor Danny to be the last one standing and facing certain doom. Except, I'm an optamistic sort who's going to seriously root for Danny surviving! :D

I'd heard people talking about it, but didn't know what it was about until yesterday. I think I'm even still a little unsure, but I know I want to watch it!

I'm a huge fan of apocalyptic stories and trying them for different fandoms in different ways. I'm really glad you took a chance on this one and that it worked for you. Thank you!

I love leaving characters fates uncertain, so people can make their minds up, whether they be natural optimists or pessimists.

That was brilliant. Very scary, poor Danny, and OMG what now??

The fact that Connor is dead, and no one is here. No one is with him. He thinks that says something he doesn't want to believe.
