I've had a very indulgent day, though did not start on the chocolates. I don't find they go well with alcohol and it took me all day to drink the champagne.

Chocolate battle ships - there's a thought...

Not too sure about the Lancaster in the DW special - wasn't being used on Ops in 1941.

It's odd the things that trip people up. I can never forget when I'm reading modern historical novels that the word 'hello' used as a greeting post dates the invention of the telephone. But people use it all the time, as if it's been around forever.

'Hullo', a similar word which has been in use a long time, wasn't (and, strictly, isn't) a greeting but an expression of surprise.
