Wow you blow my mind. I am struggling to find words to describe how well I felt this was written, how you were able to lay out that complex web of emotions... I feel you feel what I feel...without a hint of awkwardness. And the feeling of joy and love that permeates the whole thing. I adore grown up Draco and Harry, and this is one of the loveliest . Thank you so much for posting. A winner, as usual, for you.

Thank you again - I loved it so much. What will stay with me is Draco's extreme need to be in control, how hard it was for him to let go with Harry and to believe in what they had, and yet how rewarding it was to him in the end. "Joy" indeed. That proposal and the emotion and reality of it was superb. You used their characters perfectly to build something wonderful.

I don't know if you saw, but thefourthvine recently did a post about standard tropes she'd like to see reversed, and a lot of people came up with great ideas - and I have to say, "happy married couple start having relationship trouble because they get hit by a soulbond" is still one of the most interesting tropes-done-upside-down ideas I've seen.

I love the fundamental misunderstanding at the heart of this - how much choice matter to Draco, and the fact that he is choosing Harry, and being chosen by Harry, every single day, versus Harry's wish for the kind of unbreakable family bonds he never had in his life as a kid. This entire fic was just really great and satisfying.
