To this day I haven't read Catcher in the Rye. I'm worried I won't like it!

Well, you might not--I think it really makes the best impression when you're 16. By this point in your life, you should have already learned the lessons it touches upon. You're better offer reading Franny & Zooey now, it's Salinger for a more mature age (like you & me).
