 This happened during the Berlin airdrop just after World War II. I freely admit that I bawled like a lost calf reading this.

I know, I'm the same way. And after repeatedly reading about the horrors we inflict on each other, it was really, REALLY nice to stumble across this.

Correction. Not WWII. 1949 when the Russians blockaded Berlin.
