Goodbye to what was, largely (for me, anyway), annus horribilis.

Let's hope that 2011 proves better for you, me, and the universe's inhabitants in general.

Happy New Year!

Yes let 2011 be a great year for one and all.

You have an iPad and there's an LJ app - wow! *green with envy*

My boss has a theory that odd years are better than even ones - I hope he's right. :-)

The iPad was my birthday present to myself back in August. I love it to pieces (which is good, because I was sure it would turn out to be one of those over-hyped gadgets people are disappointed with a couple of days after purchasing). There's been an LJ app for the iPhone for a while, but they've recently introduced an iPad version. After using it I think I'm still happier working through the web interface...

Well then I do hope your boss is right too.

Have you seen those iPad protector cases with built-in, albeit small, keyboards? I was looking around at the iPad and the stuff available should I ever take the plunge.

If I was doing a lot of typing I think I would want something a bit more substantial to type with. But I think I might go for a wireless keyboard if I decide I need something.

Yeah, it wasn't nice for a number of reasons, but we'll have to see what the new year brings.

Peace and long life!

I sincerely hope that 2011 will be a way better year for you and your family. Poor ol' South Island certainly has had a rum deal last year.

Happy New Year, hon *hugs*

You're right; the South Island did have a bad run last year. It wasn't such a great year for my family, either, but we're hoping for a more positive year in '11.

Happy New Year and best wishes to you and your family!

Okay... now I'm confused... don't you live in the South Island? Or have I got my wires crossed?

... Wonderful things happened in 2010 for me, but we also had a bad year with lots of things. I'm hoping that this year will be way better for everyone.

Um... after re-reading my comment I can see that it is confusing... I meant that as well as the issues we had in the South Island, my family also had a not-so-good year. To be honest, though, other parts of the SI were far more badly affected than we were here.
