All that chatter in my
last post about creating your own movies with CGI reminded me of
this site. It's obviously pretty cartoonish - and potentially objectionable material (sex/nudity/violence/etc) isn't allowed - but it still looks like a heap of fun. And for extra fun, there's already a
Star Trek channel. Awesome.

SPOILER ALERT: As if there weren't enough Fringe news today, now comes news that Star Trek Leonard Nimoy will guest-star on the Fox sci-fi show as none other than the mysterious William Bell, former partner of Walter Bishop (John Noble) and founder of the mysterious Massive Dynamic, according to Fringe Television.
The site based its report on an anonymous source on the show, who confirmed that Nimoy will join the cast in the show's first-season's finale, "There's More Than One of Everything," airing May 12.
This will mark Nimoy's third collaboration with Fringe co-creators Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman this year: He'll also appear in Star Trek, which the duo wrote and which was directed by Fringe co-creator J.J. Abrams. Nimoy may also voice the Fallen in this summer's Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, which Orci and Kurtzman also wrote.

I wonder what Shatner's reaction will be. He asked Nimoy several times to appear on Boston Legal and Nimoy always refused, mainly because he said he'd finished with acting. And now BL has ended, I guess we'll never know if he might have finally agreed.

They keep bringing out new stuff (aside from the ST Barbies?!) like a webcam, new Enterprise models (I think the nacelles look like they are on steroids *g*) and the cutest pic of baby Spock - too bad its a flashdrive with that weird line by the nose :( (I wonder if it was Photoshopped or some little baby actually had Vulcan ears glued on). I hope it can be found as a plain screencap for iconning.
I'm still a bit ambivalent about the whole thing but the movie did get some good reviews over at Ain't it Cool News
