Words cannot express how happy I am to see you finishing this!!!!! I have reread this story at least a dozen times, I love it. Adama is such a bastard and I love how Lee doesn't care what he thinks and how Kara is levelheaded but still hot headed. Guhh I have to go reread, but I just wanted to say thank you for finishing it and I can't wait for the final part!

And hey, does this mean we might get part 3 of Contraventions...? :D

Yeah, it means that I'm working on that, too. I actually have a ton of drafts and part-written Contra3 pieces, and when I'm done with E&A, I'll look at shaking those into something workable.

I didn't notice at first, but I've written Lee and his old man on exactly the same terms. They're both so damn sure they're right! Adama's a bastard because he's mistaken, but Lee looks like a hero because he's right. *grins* I guess Adama can't be right about everything. The cylons coming back should be enough for him.

*claps* Yeah! I'm so excited to see you working on this again. And it is well worth the wait. I love the way you've taken that change - that Kara did fail Zak rather than pass him - and have shown the fall out from that within the context of canon episodes. I love love love the connection between Kara and Lee. And how much Lee is not backing down from Daddy and forcing his father to realize what an ass he's being. And the other pilots! Love that they see what Bill is doing and are quietly supporting her.

Lovely POV from Kat. I assume she's the one that decided to remain behind, rather than head back. Nice hints of future things in that. And I'm glad Lee finally told his father how much Zak had used Kara. He needs to stop putting his son on a pedestal.

I really love your Kara. She's everything the show hinted at and even within the context of this au it completely shines through.

my single biggest fear in AU writing is that if you change too much of the experience for a character, they cease to be recognisable to your audience. But when you say things like this, I can't help but think I did okay =) Thank you
