The lasagne sounds good...

I got Superman for Chanukah and I'm very happy with it. I haven't had time to take a look at the extras yet, but with finals almost done, I'm looking forward to it...

I'm with you on the Kara-hate. I've been purposefully avoiding the boards for that reason. I'm kinda disappointed with the route they have chosen to go for her. It's rather annoying in fact.

mmm, those sound wicked good! Will have to make them - maybe for Christmas dinner??

Happy holidays to you too! Wishing you a compliant Muse, and an Aston Martin under your tree! :0)

Actually, it is my belief that 450 grams = 1 lb. The internet concurs with me. I mention this only in case you someday want to cook using a non-metric recipe. Congrats on your cooking, btw - sounds like a very successful evening.

As I do not believe in Kara-hate, I just stick my metaphorical fingers in my metaphorical ears whenever it starts squawking. As for fic, I actually have begun working on some today, though I do not believe it could be characterized as either smut or particularly happy. Apparently my coping mechanism for minor RL bad news is beating up on imaginary characters. But who knows, I haven't gotten to the end yet, it might surprise me... Anyhow, happy holidays and happy writing (actually I am somewhat impressed by your ability to write the end ahead of the middle - unless I'm writing a non-chronological story, I'm completely incapable of doing that). *hugs*

I wasn't a huge fan of the Brosnan Bond movies but I adored the Craig movie - loved that he was edgy and dangerous and a 'blunt instrument'. It was the first movie I've come out of in ages where my husband and I both agreed that it was worth the money. I find movies more and more frustrating these days; probably one of the reasons I stick to tv.

I'm bruised by the incessant Kara hate on the boards

God, I'm glad I avoid the boards these days. It's such a pack mentality when it comes to hating on a character. I noticed it particularly over at TWoP. Jesus people, get a mind of your own and stop baying after the fox just 'cos everyone else is.

although I don't read the boards, I can imagine what you mean about the Kara-hate. I'm keeping my head down and just going on enjoying loving my Kara, warts and all. This is why I like reading your posts! It's good when there are a few other people who love her despite her issues too.

I haven't ventured onto the lists in a loooong time. I suspect at this point that that would annoy me as much as the Kara-hating on the boards. sigh.

*hugs fellow Kara-lovers*

I concur about Bond too. I really enjoyed this one very, very much, and I'm not the hugest fan of the franchise. I really felt that it was a woman's Bond. And the opening action sequence! Whoa! One of the most entertaining action sequences ever. Usually they get boring, but that one couldn't have been more entertaining.
