This was not the attitude that Ellie had wanted to start the new school year, her senior year, with. There was no reason for this to be her attitude either, she had brought this upon herself. But had she? Was it really her fault that she didn't 'love' Isaac? Ellie had been rude over the summer. She had been inconsiderate and blatantly rude to the boy who would give the world to her. She just couldn't return the feelings he was feeling, she just had a bad way of expressing that. Which included avoiding Isaac until she got her shit together (which was likely to be never, considering this was Ellie). It was the second day of classes and Ellie was already dreading the rest of this year. Her senior year should've been far from that. Now, only the second day of school, Ellie had been super standoffish and reserved. Entering into her study hall period, Ellie found a table towards the back of the room and pulled out one of her binders, opening it but not really focusing on doing any of the work. Second day and she was already about to fall ( ... )

Jesse's brows shot up as soon as the words began to spill from her mouth. Safe to say, he'd definitely not been expecting that. He'd sensed her not so great mood, and the scenario in which it only annoyed her more that he'd come in and meddled in some part of her life had been floating around in the back of his mind. But now he could sense that her not so great mood was less... moody and more... guilt-ridden, he guessed. And she probably needed someone to talk to, hence spilling everything to him in less than ten or so seconds. Of course Camryn had mentioned these Isaac issues to him when they'd talked, but he hadn't thought it'd been this bad. She began knocking her head against the desk, but he made no attempt to stop her doing so. The words began to process in his mind, and he was once more reminded of dull but heavy feeling in his gut. He knew how she felt. Maybe minus the whole Dakota being... in love with him part, because that was far from true. But then again, he'd pulled her in, and then almost... kicked her out, so to speak ( ... )

this is all really filler until you know. eleanorvega June 21 2010, 02:56:12 UTC
It had barely taken more than 'he thinks he's in love with you' to catch Ellie's attention. Not that she wasn't listening to his prior thoughts, but this was the only thing that seemed to be relevant to the fresh senior student. Her head shot up as she glanced at Jesse, curiously. Listening carefully, Ellie pressed her elbows against the desk as her eyes studied Jesse. With all he was saying... he had a point, and as much as Ellie would like to say this was a once in a life time thing, Jesse tended to always have a point and an accurate one at that. How much did Isaac really know about her? They hardly saw each other in the few months they had been a couple, she was always busy and they never really talked. What could he possibly have learned other than her schedule? She didn't even notice, but Ellie was nodding her head in agreement to whatever words Jesse was speaking. When he mentioned her scar, she lightly touched her fingers to her forehead, kind of phased that he knew all of this... when Isaac was more likely to just call her ( ... )

Not wanting to make any further comment on the issue, since he figured it was probably something she needed to work out on her own, he simply gave her an understanding nod and flipped through the pages of his book before he got to the one he recalled being up to. Her thinking was in the right direction, at least. If he had one guess, judging on the vibe he was getting from her (and he did have an accurate one at that), he'd say they wouldn't make it through the month. Not that that didn't serve the moron right. Couldn't he see any part in the royal life would bore her? Sure, she conformed perfectly to high society, but he doubted half the things that happened behind closed doors would even be thought of there. Plus, where was the fun in two women politely conversing if they weren't internally bitch slapping each other? In love with her... Again, what a moron. She was more intricate than a couple of months would be able to tell you ( ... )
