 I decided to give icon making a try. Not sure how I feel about it yet haha. I used to do stuff like this in middle school like all the time. But I never did icons. I used gimp, since photoshop and I have a love-hate relationship.

I'm familiar with the basics of gimp, but it's hard to find tutorials. I know lots of icons makers do them, but with photoshop.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I had Gimp first too and there aren't a lot of tutorials so I just used tutorials for Photoshop but without the selective coloring layer :D

haha I'm afraid that I don't know enough about gimp and that all I would do is confuse myself. The only reason I know the basics is b/c I took web design in school. If I had kept up with it, I'd still remember how to do everything in photoshop, but I haven't touched it in over 2 years
