I think I'm going to bail on NaNo this year, because I've been stuck in a phase of hating everything I write since, oh, Christmas last year? And I can't see that changing next month, even with all the rallying cries to 'turn off your inner editor!' and 'feel free to write crap!', because I have no ideas where I don't immediately think, 'So-and-so ( Read more... )

Which is absolutely fair enough (I mean, you're probably writing the equivalent in essays anyway.) I don't know that I'd ever have managed it if my school had been the type to st frequent essays.

Heh, yeah, my plan at the moment is to count everything I write from 1st November towards the 50 000 words, including personal statements and such, because I know I don't have any novel-length ideas at the moment. November shall be Get Stuff Done Month! (GeStuDoMo?)
