GREAT review and pretty much the same results I was getting with mine. I did a crappy review as well but yours is way better and with better examples.

Also, it's nice to know others are having the "sleeping pen" problem. My pen does this anytime I turn the Inkling on... the reciever will be one, but I"ll be halfway done with my image before the pen kicks in. I should start doing the tap tap thing to get it to start and see if that fixes it.

I saw the sleeping pen issue last night while I was watching tv and then putting the pen down and resting a bit. I would grab it and then check that the light wasn't turning on. So I started to draw lines up top, then tapping it on the paper. When I tapped on the paper I would see the green light start to flicker and come back to recording so that fixed the issue there. My only guess is so it saves battery when you are not using it.

I'll try the tapping thing you mentioned, because I would try drawing various lines in differing pressures everywhere to try and wake the pen to no avail. If that tap-tap works, then that's also less interruptive to the sketch. Thanks!

Just re tested the "tap tap" method and it is way better than the doing lines to try to wake it up. Tapping it is less intrusive too as you don't have random lines all over.

This might be perfect for doing software diagrams, such as UML-for-sketch.

Now, a sort-of tangential question related to drawing software: What Android Apps do you use for drawing, sketching, painting? For example, what apps did you use on that Lenovo Tablet you recently sold to draw the wallpaper picture?
Thanks.

I was using sketchbook pro but no longer own the Lenovo. The background was not drawn by me it was done by nanook pretty sure in photoshop on the pc.

I was going to buy this as a holiday gift for a friend, but it appears they're not on sale anywhere here in the US right now. Where/when did you get yours? Are they just plain sold out for the holidays?

They are pretty hard to find right now. Got mine second hand from a friend in Europe.

Wacom probably did not make enough to meet demands.
