[ Okay, so there's a tree. Outside of the building, obviously. And Gai slept in this tree, because he was mistrusting of Gakuen and the scary talking parrots, and thought this all could be a crazy dream because he really needed to get back to Konoha and find his team. And then there was Neji taking a stroll outside.

And then Gai fell from the tree. On to the ground next to Neji.
