I was marveling today that spring hadn't tried to kill me yet. As of 4 pm, it is definitely trying. Claritin has made a dent, though.

I spent most of this afternoon playing chess via email. I am made of fail at that game. I was in check within 10 total moves and had to pick between king and queen. *laughs* Oh well. It was an entertaining ( Read more... )

It's when Palila is considering the past mistresses. She says she dispatched Surya by pushing her in the baths, and Karayan by poison in her wine. However, when discussing the dranath, it says she needed something to place in Lady Surya's wine that couldn't be detected - but then later it reverts to Surya was pushed and Karayan was poisoned.

If you're really in the market for new trash novels, try Jim Butcher's Dresden Files. 10 easy novels about a film noir wizard/detective set in modern Chicago. Wonderful character business, decent plotting, and as usual with the genre you won't see it coming because you can't. Still worth the price of admission. Get 'em in paperback, though, because they don't last all that long.
