still plague-ridden. still spent most of yesterday and almost all of today in bed. reading trashy novels.

Perhaps the writer is always male because she thinks male writers are a good fantasy?

Maybe? I don't know. But I can think of at least 3 of her novels right off the top of my head that featured a male writer, and none that had a female writer (though she does do female painters.)

Fairy tale inspired stories count as original since they are out of copyright and I mention this because more stories where Swansong came from wouldn't go amiss!
