Have you played Odin Sphere yet? I think you'd like it quite a bit. It's more of an action-RPG in the vein of KH and Valkyrie Profile, but with a healthy dose of angst and more "fairy" cuteness compared to KH. I'm a little bit more than half way through right now, and it's pretty good.
