Is it possible to apologize for something in advance? 'Cause that's probably what this is - an apology for how absolutely awful the fic I've written for Ironman7 this week. ^^;;; It was AU week, and... well, it didn't start terrible, but it wound up that way. ^^;;; The first one, the Ouran one, was really good, but the following three failed

HxH is one of my favorite manga/anime. Unfortunately, as far as I've been able to discover, good fiction is nearly nonexistant for it. So syaing this his is the best HxH fic I've read, doesn't really tell you how much I enjoyed this fic.

I love the characterizations and I like how you really portrayed the relationship between Killua and Gon like how I see it in the Manga and Anime. I'll have to admit you had me in the begining and I thought Killua had just offed Gon. If the fic wasn't so well written I would probably would've stopped reading there. But, it was well written and the characters were acting like themselves. I very quickly was dragged into Killua's despair and my curiosity to find out what exactly did happen.

If you are ok with it, I'd like to copy this post to a text file and put it on my laptop so I can reread it anytime I want.

*Ahem* okay, that being out of my system, this was brilliant - and a much longer treat than I've come to expect from your oneshots XP This was, this was... damn, I think Lisa already said everything I wanted to say. You nailed the characterization and did a fantastic job of unveiling the story and building the emotions. GUH! I'm SOOOO glad you finally watched HxH <3 especially when the result is fic like this... now I have another fandom to pester you to write for *grins*

I love Gon, and I don't really think this would ever happen in the series - although maybe, because the kicker of this story is that there actually was a way for both of them to have survived - but the angst potential was just so beautiful that I couldn't not, y'know?

And thank you! ♥ You're right, it is a lot longer than my usual one-shots. I also think it's a lot better than my usual one-shots, and I'm starting to wonder if that's coincidence or not. ^^;;; But yes. I'm SO happy you two told me about this, because I can't imagine having missed it!!!

I've been aching for a good HxH fic SO BADLY lately (especially Killua/Gon centric ones) and...oh man. *___* I don't even know where to start. Your writing is wonderful. The breaks between the flashbacks and the present are so well-timed. I especially love how in the beginning you think Killua just went insane and killed Gon, but then you find out he had to. ♥ And your characterization is perfect, especially how you wrote Killua's reaction. And the ending seriously made me tear up, and that is hard to do. ;___; ♥

This is probably one of the best fics I have read, from any fandom. And I usually hate character death fics.
