because history repeats itself to some degree, i'm still harboring that tiny, ever-so-small bit of hope that steph will once again feel that inescapable pull to compete for an olympic medal as we get closer to sochi 2014.

and you better believe i will be there if this miracle does happen. :)

Ohhhh, I know, same here. Outing myself as a delusional stan here, but whenever I read interviews from then he was so definite & saying the same things as now, and I'm like....maybe? I know it's not likely, but he has been spending an unusual amount of time on-ice/training old programmes/maintaining his jumps to not compete.

the fact that he does continue to challenge himself physically and mentally to stay in competative shape IMO stokes the embers of any possibility.

we will see as time passes if steph moves toward more permanent retirement indicators, but for now - DELUSION SWITCH ON! :DDD
