Thanks to all.

I just got the news from my son's doctor that he is now CANCER FREE.

To all of you who helped me get through his chemotherapy, whether by encouraging words, stories that gave me smiles and hope, I can't thank you enough.

You know who you are, and what you mean to me.

THANK YOU.

Oh, Mel, I'm so happy for your sister!

My son had testicular cancer and spent the summer in chemotherapy. He had the BEST attitude I've ever seen, and it is definitely a blessing that he is fine now.

Funny- he used to have really long hair and a couple of years ago cut it to 1/2 an inch to donate to Locks of Love. He got FIVE 23 inch long sections to donate!

He also worked on fundraising for cancer research- then gets it himself. He came to me and said, " One of these things is NOT like the other, one of these things is not the same.." an old children's song.

Testicular cancer doubles in size in only 21 days. It is 95% curable if found early, and most often occurs in men 17-35.

Pass on the info. ( And yes, he can still have kids- or rather, his wife can, when he finds one. ;D)

:hugs:

Our children are so precious. My eldest son has been ill recently and I was so worried(nothing like cancer though). I'm so happy to hear the good news about your son.. I do think a positive attitude helps enormously.. My best wishes to you and him :)

I've enjoyed learning a bit about you. We sound similar in a lot of ways :) I hope to learn more..

Hope you had a good Christmas..

Hugs
Julie

I hope you did, too! And we do seem similar. I like that. ;D

Maybe we'll get a chance to chat soon. I hope so.

Hugs, and thanks for taking the time to get to know me a little,

-Joan
