I like having a decent amount of food on hand. I'm not one of those people with a year's worth of canned goods and dry pasta in the basement, stored up for the coming apocalypse. I just like knowing that if we stuck at home for days on end* we're not in danger of running out

A bushel of brussel sprouts? I'd be in heaven! Do they keep in cellar storage, or were planning to freeze or otherwise preserve them?

Like cabbage they do ok in cold storage as long as your root cellar is cool enough. However my mom always froze hers and that's my plan, since I don't know if my spare room is cold enough.
