Meditation against Fear

Jul 15, 2007 19:42

I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain.

I'm working on it, my friend.

Enforced "internal isolation" does not so fun things to an extrovert. And the Universe apparently finds it amusing to arrange for the bulk of my support system to take a unanimous collective vacation (thus the isolation).

But...I figure that this is also an opportunity. A chance to try to use this situation to marshal my internal power and exercise my internal strength. And in the meantime, I just keep reminding myself that it is only temporary and that the end result is 100% worth the pain and uncertainty (read: fear) that must be traversed to get there.

So...I'm working on it. And very grateful for the new friends in my life. :-)

Thank you for checking on me; you make a difference. *hugs*
