Identify yourself young man...

Earlier today there was a knock on the door, when I answered I found two clean cut young men (late 20's, early 30's) both wearing khaki pants and polo shirts not tucked in. One holding a folder. Could have been salesmen or religious folk for all they looked. They were hoping to find the former resident here. I told them that all I knew about ( Read more... )

Also I would take down names and badge numbers, because they're supposed to identify themselves BEFORE asking questions. Doofuses.

Probably not police per se, but marshals working for the court. My guess is that someone sued him and the marshals were trying to serve him. That generally goes easier if the person being served doesn't expect it. Hence the low-key appearance. Though why they would send two doesn't make sense, unless one was training the other or they thought he might be violent.

you should start tearing off the drywall - there might be some hidden treasures! i know this from personal experience.

Hahaha, if the guy who lived here last hid anything in the walls, it was probably just a bottle of moonshine.

A treasure, to be sure; but I'm not so desperate as to start to pulling down the drywall... yet.
