spring break always flies by.  i've been busy with friends and family, eating out way too much and watching lots of fun tv.  so in accordance with my policy of full disclosure, i can report a serious daliance with bones.  i love it!  sometimes great writing,  totally gross, and occasionally makes me laugh out loud plus it's really such a joy to see

Remodeling! Very exciting - and yes, expensive, yah. I'm intrigued with the idea of concrete countertops. Painting the kitchen? I'm thinking of doing the same myself. Mine is currently almond, but I would love to see some contrast with the basic white trim work, but I'm nervous about making the place feel closed off with something darker. I'm tossing around something like pale cinnamon. My main floor bathroom is presently under construction. Tell me what you've got planned, you know, if you feel the urge.

are you doing the construction on the bathroom yourself? that's way more than i can manage hence the contractor

My bathroom is less under construction and more or less getting a much-needed face-lift. I'm extremely fortunate that my husband is pretty handy. He's replaced the bathroom cabinet, sink, faucet, and vanity with light assembly, plus the overhead light and fan, and then installed wood paneling. A chair rail is next and about half the wallpapering still needs to be finished. We also picked out new fixtures in brushed chrome and they look really nice. The last thing that has to go down is a new linoleum floor. I would have loved to do tile, but it's not in the budget right now. My entire basement still needs to be tiled and that's going to cost a small fortune
