Alun's just come home from the supermarket with a tin of bacon grill. It's not the most appetising (looking) food in the world (it comes in a rectangular tin. like spam. with a key.) It has inspired me to ask: what utterly strange (to normal people) food did you used to eat as a child that you continue to buy

7-eleven nachos, with the chili sauce and cheese sauce, jalapeños, onions, and a plastic spoon to eat it with once I can't pick them up.

same way i eat pot noodles. if i ever do. they pale in comparison to super noodles. they're just not as super.

i love the combination of starch with starch. like eating a combination of rice/pasta/potatoes.

my best mate at work's husband makes potato sandwiches for her lunch. usually on rye 'pumpernickel' bread. with a thick spreading of crap sandwich spread and a large dollop of mayonnaise. he's danish, we forgive him... sometimes.

salad cream sarnies, congealed mince n pea sarnies, a whole big jar of kracus gerkins then drink the vinegar, raw beef and bacon, proper rollmops, roast pig trotters, ham hough(but only the fat with gerkins or sauerkraut) to name just a few of my strange foods but my favourite comfort food is cheap cold marrowfat peas straight out of the tin.
