The sparse dialogue in that scene is spot-on-it's just so perfect how a few words can speak volumes about Zhancheng's solitude in the darkness for the past two years. I also love the scene where Yuxi blindfolds herself in order to see things from Zhancheng's POV (no pun intended) and eventually gets so frustrated about bumping into everything that she rips the cloth off her face, before realizing... "When I can't stand it anymore, I can just take the blindfold off, but when Fang Zhancheng can't stand it anymore, what can he do?" GAH.

As for the BTS... I didn't read about it beforehand so I pretty much screamed when I saw the display box fall on Kingone. O__O That looked painful as all hell.

Yeah, during the blindfold scene, I was thinking, That's a good metaphor, and then the black-out scene played, and I was like THIS IS A REALLY GOOD METAPHOR. I hope the screenwriters keep this up. It's too easy to make a metaphor overbearing and obnoxious.

I just about screamed as well; I wasn't expecting them to actually show it. o_O; I feel really bad for the guy who crashed into the display box, though. He must feel terrible.

Honestly, genius dialogue is such a nonentity in SETTV dramas that I've gotten used to tuning out what everybody says, but Someone Like You is definitely different. I'm not 100% sold yet but it's defied my expectations on more than one occasion, which is a good sign! Loving the metaphor for the reasons you stated and because it's actually taking the OTP places rather than simply existing to prettify dialogue, LOL.

Omg haha that didn't even occur to me... Good thing Kingone's safe and sound; if not that dude would be drowning in guilt right now. x__x
